Terms of Service
The rules for using the platform, what each side owes the other, and the risks you need to know about.

1. About these terms
dpai.bot (the "site") is a strategy workbench operated by PM.finance ("we", "us"). On the site you write quantitative trading strategies together with an AI agent, backtest them and read the reports. The strategy engine behind the workbench is provided by DPAI, an independent engine provider.
These terms set out the legally binding conditions on which you use the site. By registering an account and ticking to accept, or by using the site in any way, you accept these terms — in your own name, or in the name of the organisation you represent. You represent that you have the right, authority and capacity to enter into them. If you do not agree with any part of them, do not use the site.
The Privacy Policy forms part of these terms. Please note the provisions that affect your rights most: not investment advice (6.1), disclaimers and limitation of liability (section 6), indemnity (section 7) and governing law (section 11).
2. Accounts
2.1 Opening an account
You need an account to use the workbench. You can register with an email address and password, or with a Google or GitHub account. An account opened with an email address must verify that address before it can sign in. You represent that the details you submit are true, accurate and complete, and that you will keep them up to date.
2.2 Your responsibilities
You are responsible for keeping your credentials safe and for everything that happens under your account. If your account is taken over or appears to have been used without your authorisation, tell us immediately at app@pm.finance. We will never ask you for your password through any channel.
2.3 Closing your account
You can delete your account at any time in account settings, and you can export your data there before you do. Deletion is described in 8.1 and in the Privacy Policy.
3. Using the site
3.1 Licence
Provided you comply with these terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the site for your own purposes, or those of the organisation you represent. The licence transfers no ownership.
3.2 Free use and daily limits
The site is currently free of charge. To keep it available to everyone, each account has daily limits on chat turns and backtests, and the site as a whole has a daily usage budget. When a limit is reached, new chats or backtests are refused until the limit resets; the site tells you when that is. We may change the limits at any time. Where a chat or backtest fails because of the engine or the site rather than your strategy, the day's unit is returned to you.
3.3 Strategy code is written by the agent
Strategy code on the site is written by the AI agent in conversation with you. The site does not accept code you paste or upload yourself.
3.4 What you must not do
You must not:
- register or control multiple accounts to get around the daily limits;
- resell, rent or commercially redistribute the site or its output as a service;
- scrape the site, circumvent rate limits or access controls, or overload it;
- disassemble, decompile or reverse-engineer the site, its interfaces or the engine behind it;
- use the site to create content that is unlawful, infringes the rights of others, or contains malicious code;
- probe the site for vulnerabilities (responsible security disclosure excepted — please write to app@pm.finance);
- use the site for money laundering, sanctions evasion, market manipulation or any other unlawful purpose.
3.5 Changes and interruptions
We may add, change, suspend or withdraw all or part of the site at any time. We work to keep the site available, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. The engine provider's availability is outside our control.
3.6 Our rights
The site's software, interfaces, documentation and marks belong to us or to their respective rights holders. These terms transfer none of those rights to you.
4. Your content
4.1 What you own
The ideas you describe, and the strategies, code, parameters and backtests produced for you in the workbench, belong to you, subject to any rights of the engine provider in its own software. We claim no ownership of them.
4.2 The licence you grant us
To the extent necessary to provide the service — storing your work, sending it to the engine provider to generate replies, code and backtests, and showing it to you — you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use it. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for records we must keep by law.
4.3 Confidentiality
Your strategies are private by default. Our staff do not view your code or conversations; where access is genuinely needed to investigate a technical problem, we ask for your permission first and record the access. To run the workbench, your conversation and strategy content are processed by the engine provider (see the Privacy Policy).
4.4 Infringement complaints
If you believe something on the site infringes your rights, write to app@pm.finance with enough detail for us to identify it. We may remove content alleged to be infringing or unlawful at our discretion.
5. Contests on other platforms
A competition platform may let you take a strategy from the site into a trading contest it runs. The contest, its rules, its scoring and any prizes belong to that platform and its own terms; these terms do not govern them. Where we provide an account for a contest at no charge, that is a courtesy we may end when the contest ends.
6. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
6.1 Not investment advice
- We provide a software tool. We are not a broker and not an investment adviser. Nothing on the site is a recommendation or an offer to buy or sell any financial instrument.
- Backtests and simulated results are based on historical data and models. They are not real trading results and do not indicate future performance; real trading is affected by slippage, liquidity, fees, latency and data gaps.
- AI-generated code and text may contain errors or be unsuited to your circumstances. Review and verify it yourself before relying on it.
- Trading digital assets and their derivatives can lose your entire principal. Any decision to trade is yours alone.
6.2 Disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the site and everything on it are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant the accuracy or timeliness of market data or engine output.
6.3 What we are not liable for
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss arising from: the conduct, outages or errors of the engine provider or any other third party; errors or delays in market data or model output; your credentials or devices being compromised; our exercise of rights under these terms; or decisions you make based on content from the site.
6.4 Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect loss, loss of profit or loss of data. Because the site is free, our aggregate liability under these terms is capped at USD 100. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that the law does not allow to be excluded, including for our wilful misconduct or fraud.
6.5 Force majeure
We are not liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including outages at the engine provider, market-data sources, network or cloud providers.
7. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you will indemnify us against third-party claims, and the reasonable costs arising from them, caused by your breach of these terms, your misuse of the site, or content you create infringing the rights of others. This does not apply to matters arising from our own wilful misconduct or fraud.
8. Termination
8.1 By you
You may stop using the site and delete your account at any time. Deletion removes your account, strategies and conversations as described in the Privacy Policy and cannot be undone. Usage records we must keep for accounting and abuse prevention are retained without your name or email address.
8.2 By us
Where you seriously breach these terms or the law, or your account presents a security risk or is used to abuse the daily limits, we may restrict, suspend or close it.
8.3 What survives
Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity and governing law — continue to apply.
9. Changes and notices
We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the version and publish them on the site; where a change materially affects your rights, we will tell you in-app or by email and, where necessary, ask you to accept again. A notice sent to your registered email address is treated as delivered when sent.
10. General
These terms are the entire agreement between you and us on your use of the site. If any provision is unenforceable, it is narrowed to the minimum extent necessary and the rest continues in force. Our failure to exercise a right is not a waiver. You may not assign these terms without our written consent; we may assign them as part of a transfer of the business.
11. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the law of Singapore, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes should first be resolved by good-faith negotiation; failing that, either party may bring proceedings before a court of competent jurisdiction in Singapore. This does not affect mandatory rights you have under the law of your own jurisdiction.
For any question, complaint or request about these terms, write to app@pm.finance.
